Where are the dresses made?

How can I choose the right size?

The available sizes for each dress are listed on its respective page and you can always refer to the Size chart for additional guidance.

To ensure accuracy, please check your measurements in centimeters or inches, as size notations may differ in your country. Feel free to reach out to us if you need assistance.

If you’re unsure about the size you’ve chosen, we recommend entering your measurements (bust, waist, height) in the “order notes” field at checkout and we will contact you to confirm the best fit.

In-stock standard dress sizes are shipped within 3–4 working days from our atelier.
Please note: This timeframe is an estimate. If you need your dress by a specific date, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order to confirm whether we can meet your deadline.

How does ‘Made to measure’ work?

If a size is unavailable, you can select the ‘Made to measure’ option, and we will craft the dress to your exact measurements.

Make sure to take accurate measurements (bust, waist, and length in either centimeters or inches—whichever you prefer) and submit them via the ‘Made to Measure’ order form located above the ‘Add to Bag’ button. You can always refer to the Made to measure guide for additional guidance. Optionally, you can provide additional measurements (such as height, bra cup size or arm circumference) in the “order notes” field at checkout.

Made-to-measure dresses take approximately 4–6 weeks to be carefully crafted to fit your dreams.

Can I customize the dresses?

Chotronette only produces the designs showcased on our website and social media profiles. However, minor adjustments, such as sleeve or length alterations, are possible. Please reach out to us before placing your order to confirm if your desired changes can be made and if there will be any additional costs.

How do I measure the right length?

To measure the length, start from the shoulder and measure down to the hem (where you want the dress to end).

For short dresses, we suggest a length between 85 cm (33.5 in) and 110 cm (43.3 in), depending on the design and your height.

For floor-length dresses, we recommend measuring with heels on if you plan to wear them with the dress. To double-check, you can subtract 15 cm (6 in) from your height.

How can I pay for my order?

We accept PayPal, Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Bank Transfers. Additional payment options via Stripe — including Klarna, Revolut Pay, BECS, Bancontact, EPS, iDEAL, MobilePay, Multibanco, Przelewy24, and SEPA or ACH transfers — may be available depending on your location and service availability.

Payment plans through PayPal PayLater or Klarna Installments may also be available, depending on your location and eligibility.

All available options will be shown automatically at checkout and your payment will be processed securely, with all data protected by SSL encryption to ensure 100% security.

How much is shipping and how long does it take?

When ordering from the European Union / EEA, DHL Express delivery will cost approximately €50 and takes 2–4 working days.
DHL Express deliveries to non-EU Countries (e.g. United States, Canada, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, or the UK post-Brexit) cost approximately $50 and take 3–5 working days (add a few extra days for customs clearance – import into your country)

Will I need to pay customs duties or taxes?

When ordering from outside the European Union / EEA (e.g. United States, Canada, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, or the UK post-Brexit), your purchase will be VAT-free.
However, import duties and taxes may apply, depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are not included in your order total and must be paid directly to your local customs office or tax authority.
The process is usually straightforward: DHL will handle customs clearance on your behalf as part of the door-to-door delivery process, and you’ll be able to pay any fees online—no need to visit the customs office in person. Please note that exceptions may occur, depending on local regulations or courier limitations.
We recommend checking with your local customs authority to understand what charges may apply. If customs fees are not paid, your dress may be held or returned.

How can I ensure smooth delivery?

When placing your order, please ensure that your address and postal code are accurate to avoid any delivery issues. Also, keep an eye on your inbox for DHL notifications regarding your shipment and delivery updates.

Can I return a dress?

Sure. If you are not 100% satisfied with your dress we would be happy to help you return it. More information can be found here.

I like a dress from a previous collection / The dress I like is no longer on your website

We are happy you like our dresses, but the majority of our designs are limited edition, one-of-a-kind or the fabrics run out of stock. If a dress is not available on our website, we most likely are not able to reproduce it. You can only order the designs available now on our website and be sure that we are constantly updating the collection.

Do you make dresses for children?

We don’t have a special collection for children, but we can make matching mother-daughter dresses. Please email us for details.
